Schedules

We’ve taken an Halloween/Bonfire Night for this Show with some of the classes in our Homecraft Sections

We are very thankful to all our sponsors as without these we would really struggle along with our Judges, Stewards and many supporters.  Without entries there would be no Show so come on everyone get busy and lets fill the Hall with our works of art!! .

The Civic Hall will be buzzing with all the entries, displays and craft fair stalls – why not have a go, at only £1 an entry its certainly worth a try – there’s bound to be lots of Mary Berry’s and Monty Don’s out there just waiting to be discovered.  There are classes for children and adults in all sections – there will be rosettes and prize money to 1st to 3rd placings in most classes and all children will receive a rosette – you just cannot beat seeing excited little eyes on Show Day searching to see how they have done after Judging has finished and they are looking for their entries.

Entries are accepted from 9am to 10am Show morning for the cookery, handicraft, art/photography and green fingers sections following which the Hall will close for Judging – our sharp eyed Judges will then commence their hard task and the Hall will be reopened  by 12noon  following judging when all exhibits will be on display until 3pm so everyone can see how they have done.  The art/photography classes are judged by Public Opinion – please don’t forget to pick your favourite.

The Fun Dog Show starts at 11am with entries accepted from 10am to 11am.

The kitchen will be open all day for a cuppa, tasty bacon/sausage barm and homemade cakes so if you are waiting for the Hall to open or for The Fun Dog Show to start why not call in – in fact any excuse I’d say for tea and cake.

Entry to the Hall, watching the Fun Dog Show and the Craft Fair is free of charge, your support is very much appreciated and we all hope to see you there.

Craft Fair is open from 10am – 3pm.

Autumn Show 2024

Horse

Welcome to our Equine Section. As a Committee we endeavour to run a wide spectrum of classes were hopefully everyone will be able to enter at least a couple of classes to make your visit worthwhile.

We are a local Show and hope to encourage all, without the pomp and ceremony of county level but our judges do have a keen eye!! It’s difficult to ensure all disciplines are kept up to scratch with horses and ponies in the area and as the trends move – if we have failed please do let us know and we will try and accommodate in the following year.

Donkeys are back again by popular demand and we have also added Foreign Breed classes both ridden and in hand as requested by many of our supporters.

We’ve tried to keep entry fees down so hopefully you can all enter a couple of classes and make for a good how, culminating in the Supreme Championship of Show to be held in Ring 4 at the end of the day.
